In addition to his criminal defense experience at the DC Public Defender Service during 2009 – 2010, he has practiced as a deputy prosecutor in California at the Inglewood City Attorney’s office in 2014 – 2015.
He participated in a five-week trial training course to prepare for the post of a deputy prosecutor, in which he played the role of prosecutor in many mock criminal trials as well as trained in jury selection, pre-trial conference, direct & cross-examination of witnesses, sentencing, opening statements, jury instructions, motions to dismiss, and closing arguments.
He successfully demonstrated his ability to prosecute criminal cases as a deputy prosecutor and went on to serve as a prosecutor at the Inglewood City Attorney’s office through the Trial Advocacy Project.
Aaron P. McAllister obtained the license to practice law in the State of California as well as the District of Columbia. He also routinely argues before the Northern and Central District Courts of California.
The Distinguished Justice Advocates Selected him in the Top 1% Attorneys in America and The National Trial Lawyers named him in the Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers in California in 2019. In the same year, the Attorney and Practice Magazine listed him in Top 10 Attorneys in California.

In 2017, the Expert Network conferred him with the Distinguished Lawyer Award that it gives to Top 3% of Lawyers. The National Academy of Jurisprudence recognized him as Premier 100 Trial Attorneys for California.
He has served as the Secretary for 100 Black Men at the UC Irvine Chapter in 2005 – 2006, and as a Qualified Lawyer for the Lawyer Referral Service at the Long Beach Bar Association and the Riverside County Bar Association since 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Aaron Philip McAllister obtained his Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of California and Juris Doctorate from the Howard University School of Law in 2006 and 2009 respectively.
