Abigail Williams is an associate in the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance and Litigation Practice Groups. She has represented issuers and their directors and officers in high-profile state and federal securities matters, including class actions.
She has also represented insurance companies in complex coverage litigation in jurisdictions throughout the United States.
In addition, Abigail has experience handling a wide range of complex disputes, including residential mortgage-backed securities enforcement of restrictive covenants.
Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin, Abigail was an associate in the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. She also served as an intern in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
