Aengus H. Carr

Aengus Carr has experience in all aspects of commercial and business litigation, including cases involving contract disputes, business torts, unfair competition claims, and supply chain disputes.

He defends class actions and other complex matters, including claims related to state and federal consumer protection statutes, warranties, product liability, unfair competition as well as regulatory and public enforcement actions. Aengus has litigated cases in state and federal courts across the US as well as in international arbitration.

Aengus has extensive experience defending manufacturers and distributors in “concealed defect” and “failure to disclose” consumer fraud litigation, as well as claims brought under the Alien Tort Statute, including in “judicial hellhole” jurisdictions, MDL proceedings and in conjunction with state and federal regulatory proceedings.

Aengus serves as coordinating counsel for manufacturers and distributors for litigation and emerging risks in the US and world-wide. He also counsels clients in the areas of preventative product liability, risk management and product safety.

He is experienced in intellectual property litigation, including trade secret enforcement and patent enforcement.  He has coordinated pre-filing infringement investigations and business evaluations, and forensic accounting in royalty disputes.

Aengus regularly works with in-house and external technical experts on complex products in product liability, class action and enforcement litigation, including incident reconstruction, failure analysis, site and product inspections, product comparison and reverse engineering of electrical, mechanical and firmware products, and product testing.

He has done significant work with major eDiscovery vendors and review platforms and has experience and knowledge in all aspects and phases of eDiscovery, as well as managing contract review teams. Aengus has also managed several nationwide class action settlements.
