Alan C. deVries is a member of the BakerHostetler team serving as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS), an unprecedented recovery effort involving hundreds of actions.
While in law school, Alan was a managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal, served on the managing board for the International Law Society and was involved with the Public Interest Law Foundation and the Pro Bono Research Group.
Experience : Involved with a variety of investigatory and litigation matters in connection with BakerHostetler’s role as court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS).
Works on cases in active discovery drafting and amending complaints, compiling personal jurisdiction evidence, drafting templates for personal jurisdiction discovery requests, organizing banking records for preservation notices, and conducting necessary legal research for legal teams.
