
Albert A. del Castillo focuses his practice on public finance law, with an emphasis on bond issues throughout the state of Florida and Puerto Rico. Albert has served clients as bond counsel, underwriters’ counsel and disclosure counsel in a variety of issues, including general obligation, infrastructure, electric, water and sewer, health care, education, resource recovery, sports facilities, special assessment, community development district, and industrial development financing.
He has also served as letter of credit bank counsel and as trustee’s counsel. Albert has served as bond counsel in highly innovative and complex bond financings, including the representation of Broward County, FL, in its $622 million airport revenue bonds for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which was selected by The Bond Buyer as the 2012 Southeast Region “Deal of the Year.”
In 2006, he represented a client in a $3.05 billion financing, which at the time was Florida’s largest new-money municipal bond issue. In 2004, Albert represented the same client in a $750 million financing which was selected by The Bond Buyer as the 2004 National “Deal of the Year.”
