Alethea A. Swift is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice.Ms. Swift joined the firm after serving as a Special Counsel to Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein on the Senate Judiciary Committee. She previously clerked for the Honorable Robert Pitman of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
Ms. Swift earned her J.D. with honors in 2016 from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was on the editorial board of the Texas Law Review, worked as a legal intern at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and completed a one-year externship at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2009 with a degree in international affairs.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Swift worked as a public affairs and crisis management consultant. She was a member of Akin Gump’s 2015 summer associate class and a Pro Bono Scholar in 2014.Licensed to practice in Texas only and under the supervision of the partners of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Application for admission to the District of Columbia Bar pending.
