
Alex Egbert focuses on complex commercial litigation. He defends insurers in coverage disputes and against bad faith claims. He advises businesses on accident liability and management disputes. Alex immerses himself in the detailed facts of each matter to distill and present straightforward counsel to each client.
Alex is also active in Steptoe’s pro bono program. He is currently working with the Florence project in juvenile and immigration court to get SIJS status for a minor.
While pursuing his J.D., Alex helped draft an opening appellate brief for a prisoner challenging a rejected habeas petition in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals while at Georgetown’s appellate clinic. The Fourth Circuit ruled in his team’s favor.
