Alexander Kerzhner handles a broad range of complex corporate matters for clients, working with venture capital, private equity and other investors as well as technology, media, entertainment and life science companies. Utilizing his prior experience as a certified public accountant, he effectively counsels clients with a comprehensive understanding their legal and business needs.
Alexander has led a variety of complex corporate transactions on both the business and legal sides, including venture capital and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and securities/debt offerings. He also advises clients on routine federal securities, corporate governance, general business and intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining Fox, Alexander was an associate in the New York office of Dentons US LLP. He was also previously a corporate attorney at a prominent New York boutique law firm that focused on start-up and emerging growth companies and a corporate and commercial litigation associate at a boutique law firm serving media and technology start-up companies.
Additionally, he served as associate general counsel for an import company, handling various agreements and litigation matters and overseeing compliance with FDA and CBP rules and regulations.
While in law school, Alexander was a judicial intern for the Hon. Martin Glenn of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York and for the Hon. Richard K. Eaton of the U.S. Court of International Trade.
He also served as a legal intern in the Enforcement Division of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and for the Brooklyn Law School Incubator & Policy Clinic, as well as a tax intern for Deloitte Tax LLP.
