
Alexander D. Newman is an associate in the New York office of Robins Kaplan LLP. Mr. Newman graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in government from Cornell University.
During law school, Mr. Newman was selected by a faculty committee to serve as an Alexander Fellow to then-Chief Judge Loretta Preska in the District Court for the Southern District of New York.
During that time, he worked full time in the judge’s chambers assisting the judge and her clerks with civil and criminal matters. Also during law school, Mr. Newman participated in a year-long clinic with the Office of the New York State Attorney General and assisted low-income clients with a variety of transactional and litigation matters at a not-for-profit legal services organization. Mr. Newman also served as an articles editor for the Cardozo Law Review.
