Alexander Parker

Alexander B. Parker focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secrets matters. With a strong background in computer science, Alex has represented clients in matters involving, among other technologies, cryptography, artificial intelligence, mobile device application marketplaces, microprocessor instruction sets, light emitting diodes and laser diodes, and devices for analyzing integrated circuits.

Alex works as an advocate for his clients’ sustainability. The protection and defense of a company’s intellectual property has significant implications on its viability and competitive advantage. Because of this, Alex works diligently to ensure his clients’ proprietary technologies are protected to the fullest extent.

• Representing respondent global electronics company in a Section 337 investigation before the United States International Trade Commission relating to optical disc drives (ITC)
• Represented global electronics company in a patent infringement case involving 15 asserted patents relating to microprocessor instruction set architecture; obtained a favorable settlement (E.D. Tex.)
• Represented industry-leading electronics manufacturer in a patent infringement case relating to LEDs and laser diodes; case still pending (N.D. Cal.)
• Represented defendant software company in a patent infringement case relating to artificial intelligence-based search; the plaintiff agreed to dismiss the case (N.D. Cal. and E.D. Va.)
• Represented manufacturer of devices for diagnosing and characterizing integrated circuits as plaintiff in a patent infringement suit against a competitor; obtained a favorable settlement for the client (N.D. Cal.)
