Alexandra Sorenson focuses her practice on product liability with an emphasis on tobacco litigation. She works on all aspects of litigation, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions and discovery materials, with three jurisdictional teams that focus on Engle Progeny cases in Florida.

Alex also helps her teams devise case strategy and prepare for hearings and depositions. She prioritizes punctuality and uses her organizational skills to keep her team on top of impending deadlines.

Alex sharpened her writing ability in law school, where she served as a note and comment editor of the Iowa Law Review.

During her final year there, the journal published her article discussing the various standards for evaluating the voluntariness of consent searches arising under state and federal constitutions and arguing that the Iowa Supreme Court should reject the federal standard for a heightened standard for searches arising under the Iowa Constitution.

She also participated in two writing seminars, Notable American Trials: Trial Skills and Federal Criminal Sentencing, which earned her the Jurisprudence Award for Academic Excellence for receiving the highest grade in the course. As a moot court competitor, Alex was also awarded the Best Brief for the State for having the highest scoring brief on behalf of the prosecution.
