
Alexis Hatten focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense, with experience that includes representing clients in all types of workers’ compensation litigation before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.
Her background includes drafting and submitting summations and appeals, memoranda, and negotiating and drafting settlement agreements. She also deposes doctors and other medical personnel regarding medical issues as they relate to workers’ compensation claims.
During law school at Albany Law School, Alexis was an intern in the New York State Office of the State Comptroller, where she researched pending state and federal legislation and drafted memos analyzing their impact on the State Comptroller’s investment strategies and fiduciary duties to the retirement fund.
She also held an internship with the Maryland State Office of the Attorney General, where, amongst her other duties, conducted investigations and mediated disputes in cases concerning denial of healthcare benefits.
