
Alicia J. Carroll is an associate of the Firm and a member of its Intellectual Property group where she focuses her practice on drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications, and intellectual property litigation support.
Alicia has experience in all stages of patent procurement from preparing applications to filing appeals with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as well experience in preparing non-infringement and invalidity opinions.
Alicia has been involved in numerous aspects of patent litigation, including pre-litigation research, initial pleadings, settlement discussions, and discovery. Alicia works in a variety of technical fields including fluid mechanics, aerospace systems, aircraft systems, aerodynamics, power generation systems and medical devices.
In addition to her intellectual property practice, Alicia also represents people who are facing eviction as part of the Stamford Office’s eviction defense pro bono project with Connecticut Legal Services.
For her undergraduate education, Alicia attended Fairfield University earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, Alicia was starting player on Fairfield University’s NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Team and was appointed as a captain. Alicia then attended University of Connecticut School of Law where she earned a J.D. with honors and a Certificate in Intellectual Property.
During law school, she served as President of the Women Law Students’ Association, was the Assistant Managing Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law, and was a member of the Moot Court Board.
