Alissa K. Lipton focuses on trials and appeals and pre-litigation counseling involving a wide range of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device patents. She has particular experience in litigation arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act and litigation relating to biologics.
Alissa is a registered patent attorney and has experience in matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as well as counseling and opinion work. She has been involved in cases in which the patents-at-issue were subject to co-pending proceedings before the USPTO.
She frequently writes and presents on patent law topics relevant to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Alissa is co-author of Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit: Practice and Procedure.
She is also a contributing author of Patent Litigation Strategies Handbook, published by the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law and Bloomberg BNA. While in law school, Alissa was a member of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology.
