Allison Muth, a senior associate in the Financial Services & Products Group, concentrates her practice on the structuring, formation, launch, and ongoing management of investment funds, including commodity pools, hedge funds, private equity funds and registered investment companies. She also provides regulatory compliance counsel on commodity pools, registered investment companies and other investment vehicles.
Allison frequently advises investment management clients on formation, registration, and disclosure, as well as issues related to compliance with, or exemptions from, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Commodity Exchange Act, the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, SEC and CFTC regulations, and NFA rules.
Allison received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. While in law school, she was a member of the Virginia Law & Business Review. She received her B.B.A., summa cum laude, from William and Mary, where she double-majored in marketing and psychology.
