Allyson Li

Allyson Li is an associate in the firm’s global energy and transactions practice. Ms. Li’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, project finances, tax, capital markets, and private equity transactions.Ms. Li earned her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center.  While in law school, Ms. Li served as Managing Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law, Vice President of the International Law Society, and was a member of the Order of the Barons.

Ms. Li was on the Dean’s Academic Achievement List and was recipient of the State Bar of Texas Tax Section Scholarship.  Prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Li interned for the Honorable Jeff Bohm of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.Prior to law school, Ms. Li earned her M.B.A. from Louisiana State University and her L.L.B. from East China University of Political Science and Law.  Ms. Li is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
