
Alyssa N. Lawson is a complex technology litigator who thrives on the challenging pace of patent law and disruptive technological innovation. Alyssa represents Fortune 500 and technology companies across a diverse range of technologies, including HVAC systems, backup software and data security, interactive and monitored home security systems, pharmaceuticals, microarray technology, marine and flight navigational systems, semiconductor, and aircraft flame barriers.
She also has experience serving clients in a consultative role, working to analyze and valuate the economic impact of patented technologies in high-volume patent portfolios and conducting IP risk assessments related to mergers and acquisitions.
Alyssa’s litigation experience includes representation at jury trials in complex, multi-million dollar patent litigation suits. She is admitted to practice in California, Minnesota, and numerous federal courts throughout the country.
Alyssa’s active pro bono practice focuses on representing clients before the USCIS and Immigration Court. She has also been involved in pro bono matters related to human rights and trafficking of women and children, veterans’ affairs, and animal welfare.
In her personal life, Alyssa actively volunteers with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of her late husband, who was lost to an aggressive form of lymphoma. She is also the team leader for Robins Kaplan’s Light the Night Walk team. In addition, Alyssa volunteers with a number of community-based organizations that work to clean up and improve Minneapolis neighborhoods.
