Amanda L. Weiss is Counsel in the Firm’s Public Company Advisory Practice. Amanda assists public companies on a range of matters, including SEC reporting and disclosure, corporate governance and the listing requirements of the major U.S. exchanges.
Amanda regularly advises clients on a range of issues, including SEC and stock exchange disclosure requirements, corporate governance, board and committee structures, conflicts of interest, shareholder proposals, director independence, the impact of proxy advisory firms and responses to formal and informal SEC inquiries.
She also focuses on new developments and changing practices in governance and disclosure matters. Amanda’s clients have included AXIS Capital Holdings, Blackstone Mortgage Trust, CorePoint Lodging and SeaWorld. Amanda also advises portfolio companies of the Firm’s private equity clients.
Amanda received her J.D. from University of Chicago Law School in 2007, her M.A. from Fordham University in 1998 and her B.A., cum laude, from Amherst College in 1997.
