Amber Lee Eck chairs Haeggquist & Eck’s Securities Litigation practice group and handles securities and derivative litigation, consumer class actions and employment cases. She is a tireless advocate for consumers, employees and shareholders and has litigated all aspects of complex individual and class actions for the past 22 years.
Over the years, Amber has recovered millions of dollars on behalf of shareholders, consumers and employees who have been wronged by real estate investment scams, securities fraud, and unlawful employment practices.
Most recently, she was co-lead class counsel representing a widespread class of consumers against Donald Trump and Trump University. The case settled for $25 million, with class members estimated to receive an incredible 90% of their losses.
Amber was recognized as one of the San Diego Business Journal’s Best of the Bar in 2016 and 2017. In 2016, she was named a Super Lawyer, and was a finalist for San Diego Magazine’s Woman Of The Year Award.
Amber was also nominated for the National Association of Women Business Owners’ (NAWBO) Woman Business Owner Of The Year award in 2016 and their Trailblazer’s Award in 2017 .
Amber has lectured to and mentored local law school students and attorneys and has served as a panelist at the 2017 California Women Lawyers Conference on Transitions to Leadership and for the Lawyers Club Small Law Firms and Sole Practitioner Conference on Time Management for Attorneys.
She is currently active as a Master in the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court and served as a Barrister and Associate in the William B. Enright American Inn of Court.
She is a proud member of the National Assn. of Shareholder and Consumer Attorneys (NASCAT), Lawyers Club, Federal Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, and the Class Action Preservation Project (CAPP) Committee of Public Justice.
Amber is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts of America, and has served as a Girl Scout troop leader for the past seven years. She has also served as the GATE District Advisory Council Representative for Loma Portal Elementary School, volunteer for Genesis Diez, and as a Deacon for Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church.
She is also active in Christian Youth Theater and has served on the organization’s public relations and historian committees for the past three years. Outside the office, Amber enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and scuba diving.
Most importantly, however, Amber loves spending time with her husband, Jeff, their two incredible daughters, Jordyn and Kathryn, and Lab rescue dog, Bo.
