Amy Pagani is an accomplished associate in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group. Combining her extensive experience steering clients through contested cases with her background in business management, development, and policy, Amy provides her clients with comprehensive representation for immediate concerns, as well as long-term guidance and support for all types of legal needs.
Amy advises her clients through every stage of the legal process, from planning legal strategies to defending cases and negotiating settlements. She has taken many cases to hearings at the North Carolina Industrial Commission. A former mediator and an accomplished negotiator, Amy also has strengths in transactional and contract work and corporate governance and development.
With a solid foundation in business — starting with a Bachelor’s in business economics and an M.B.A. — Amy has assisted business clients with many types of legal needs, including managing diligence for sales and acquisitions, drafting and editing policies, reconciling and approving new contracts, and helping to avoid ethical liabilities and breaches of contract.
As a special project attorney for a major international software and services provider in the energy and utilities industry, Amy drafted and reviewed international corporate trade policies, coordinated with outside counsel to handle an international data breach, and streamlined new technology to review and summarize software licensing contracts.
All these experiences inform her approach to her clients’ workers’ compensation programs. Fluent in the needs and concerns of business executives, Amy nurtures equal passions for representing clients in disputes and for helping her clients to create comprehensive programs, policies, and solutions to ensure long-term stability, excellence, and growth.
