
Amy E. Murray is an associate in the Health Care practice, where she advises clients on regulatory and transactional issues. Her practice includes working with hospitals, physicians and physician groups, and other health care providers.
Amy advises clients regarding compliance with Medicare and Medicaid, HIPAA, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and other health care laws and regulations. Amy spends significant time working with providers to appeal Medicaid audit findings and guiding clients through the certificate of need process.
Amy advises on general corporate and business matters relating to the health care industry and prepares governing documents, contracts, and internal policies for physicians, physician groups, and other health care clients. She received a Health Care Fraud & Compliance Certificate from the American University Washington College of Law.
Amy has also advised colleges and universities on a broad range of issues, including HIPAA, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Title IX compliance, and student and employee discipline.
Amy began her legal career with the University of Illinois Office of University Counsel, where she provided legal advice and guidance to the Office of the President, the Office of the Registrar, the university-affiliated hospital, the College of Medicine and the student health center.
