Amy L. Johnson advises health industry clients on a variety of legal matters related to physician employment arrangements, physician joint ventures and transactional matters, physician contracts, medical staff, non-physician vendor agreements, post−acute care, health care regulatory matters, accreditation, and health care real estate.
Amy is well versed in health care transactional matters and analysis of federal and state laws impacting health care, Stark, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse laws in connection with all facets of health care operations. In addition, Amy provides guidance and drafts general contracts and policies and provides advice on clinical and non-clinical risk management issues.
In her previous role as Associate General Counsel, Executive Director of Insurance with a North Carolina nonprofit, independent community hospital system, Amy managed the legal aspects of issues involving employed and independent physicians, medical staff, physician real estate, transactions, post−acute care, a liability and casualty insurance program (commercial and self-insured), and general legal health care compliance.
