Amy Wesaw believes personal investment and a passionate drive to determine the best possible approach are the only ways to serve her clients. She commits to bringing that same drive for each and every client she represents. Her compassionate attitude and focus on listening to the needs of clients help her formulate the best path forward in each case.

Amy is an accomplished legal writer and oral advocate. In addition to her law degree, Amy is certified in Child and Family Advocacy as well as Indian Law. She earned the Jurisprudence Achievement Award for Integrative Law and Social Work while at the Michigan State University College of Law.

She also won third place for Best Brief and reached the Top 16 as a participant in the 2015 National Native American Law Student Association Moot Court Competition. Amy also participated in both the Indian Law and Chance at Childhood Clinic while she attended law school.

Amy is an engaged participant of her local community, particularly as a regular attendee of local tribal community events. Her main practice areas include Family Law, Employment Law and Native American Law/Federal Indian Law.

Amy is admitted to practice at the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribal Court. She is particularly passionate about any area of Family Law where children are central to the matter including child protection matters and Indian Child Welfare Act adherence.

Amy is also the secretary for the State Bar of Michigan American Indian Law Section Council, helping to further her understanding and involvement regarding the preservation and protection of tribal sovereignty throughout Michigan.

Amy is an attorney in Kreis Enderle’s Battle Creek office.
