She spent her growing years in Louisiana and moved to Arkansas to join the University of Arkansas. In 2009, she completed her Bachelor’s of Science while earning a degree in Public Administration and went on to study at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
While in law school, she became a peer mentor and honors council student, as well as a member of the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, the Christian Legal Society and the American Bar Association. She won the Best Oralist Award for her first-year oral argument and Best Brief Award with her partner in the Benjamin J. Altheimer Moot Court Competition in 2011.
She also worked as a clerk for law firms Bailey & Oliver and Keith, Miller, Butler, Schneider & Pawlik, PLLC as well as for a Circuit Court Judge, Kim Smith, and gained valuable experience.
She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2012 and passed the bar exam to obtain the license to practice law in the state of Arkansas in 2013. She joined the law firm Hatfield Harris, PLLC as an Associate in the same year. Later, she served as a partner attorney with McCurdy Pope Law and Mediation until 2017 when she started her law firm McCurdy Law and Mediation.
