Andrew is a graduate of Michigan State University and a member of the State Bar of Florida and the State Bar of Michigan. While an undergraduate, Andrew worked in the Washington, D.C. office of United States Senator Spencer Abraham.
He later studied Comparative Democracy at the University of London and the University of Edinburgh. During law school, Andrew was employed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, overseeing their Lansing branch office. He was an oralist for MSU Law’s Willem C. Vis Moot Commercial Arbitration team and competed in the world championship competition in Vienna, Austria.
While studying for the Bar Exam, Andrew moved to Lee County in 2007 and began as an Associate with the criminal defense firm of Aiken, O’Halloran & Associates. Andrew was elevated to partner in 2012 in the newly-styled Aiken, O’Halloran & Banyai.
In 2016, Andrew was elected president of the Lee County Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and was reelected to a second consecutive term in 2017. Andrew was named Executive Director of the Lee County Legal Aid Society, Inc. in 2018.
