With experience litigating claims involving premises liability, medical malpractice, product liability, underinsured/uninsured motorist insurance coverage, wrongful death, liquor liability and the Dram Shop Act, construction defects, insurance coverage disputes, and more, Andrew Boivin offers clients a broad-based legal background and the ability to formulate legal strategies that help propel matters toward effective and expedited resolution.
Andrew’s practice focuses on a wide range of liability claims, representing clients in dispute resolution through litigation, arbitration, mediation, or at trial. He routinely drafts motions to dismiss, to strike, and for summary judgment as part of an overall defense strategy.
His strategic approach to the defense of his clients’ interests has resulted in significant experience deposing parties, fact witnesses, treating health care providers, and expert witnesses. Andrew has also successfully briefed and argued on appeal before the Connecticut Supreme Court.
After graduating from Suffolk University Law School, Andrew was a law clerk in the Judicial Branch of the Connecticut Superior Court, serving judges in the Bridgeport, New Haven, and Meriden judicial districts. There, he analyzed pleadings, prepared legal memoranda on issues arising in civil, criminal, family, housing, and land use matters.
