Angel A. Darmer is a shareholder with Carr Allison in the firm’s Birmingham, Alabama office. Angel’s litigation practice is primarily focused on the defense of local, regional and national manufacturers, distributors, retailers and restaurants in personal injury, premises liability, products liability, transportation and workers’ compensation matters.
She has experience providing insurance coverage opinions and defending uninsured and under-insured motorist carriers. Angel has successfully defended her clients by obtaining summary judgments and other pre-trial dismissals, as well as defense verdicts resulting from bench and jury trials.
She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, as well as the Alabama State Courts.
Angel received her secondary education at the Alabama School of Math and Science in Mobile, Alabama and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a BA in Psychology and Spanish.
She studied Experimental Psychology at the graduate level at the University of Alabama in Huntsville before earning her JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (AL). Angel is also fluent in Spanish.
While attending Cumberland, Angel served as an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was an Executive Member of Cumberland’s Trial Advocacy Board. She was selected by her professors to serve as a Judge Abraham Caruthers Teaching Fellow and was named to the 2011 Who’s Who Among American Law Students.
Angel was also selected to Cumberland’s National Negotiation Team and she competed and placed in the ABA Regional Competition in Tallahassee, FL.
