Anna Makatche Cadet’s practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions. Anna is an associate in the firm’s capital finance and real estate team. She represents owners, developers and financial institutions in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, construction and real estate finance, real estate development and leasing, and loan workouts and restructuring.
Her experience includes single and multi-property transactions with a wide variety of real estate assets, including office parks and buildings, hotels, shopping centers and multi-family apartment complexes.
Her pro bono work includes serving as a pro bono lawyer for Sanctuary for Families, a New York City-based nonprofit dedicated to aiding domestic violence victims and their children.
Experience:
- Represented a large financial institution in connection with the origination of a $235 million mortgage loan and a $195 million mezzanine loan secured by an office building in Midtown Manhattan. The property includes key tenants, BuzzFeed and Facebook.
- Represented a large mortgage REIT in the origination of a $14.8 million mezzanine loan secured by a luxury hotel in New Orleans. The financing also consisted of a $96.2 million mortgage loan.
- Represented World Wide Group in the acquisition of SkyHouse Raleigh, an ultra-luxury residential tower in Raleigh, North Carolina for $103 million, setting a new Triangle market record for multifamily properties.
- Advised World Wide Group in the $231 million sale of its ground leasehold interests in the properties located at 110 Church Street and 53 Park Place situated in Manhattan’s Tribeca area.
- Represented an institutional lender in connection with the origination of a $180 million mortgage loan secured by an office building in mid-town Manhattan, New York.
- Represented multiple institutional lenders in connection with the origination of a $600 million mortgage loan secured by a prominent office tower in downtown Manhattan.
- Complexities included a ground lease from a city authority and a master retail lease of the retail space in the tower.
- Represented Savanna in the $30.57 million acquisition of 2417 3rd Avenue, Bronx, New York, comprised of an approximately 175,000 square foot loft building and financing of a $30.4 million construction loan.
- Represented a leading global bank in connection with the origination of a $50.95 million mortgage loan secured by an office building in Saint Louis, Missouri.
- Represented Israel Discount Bank of New York in connection with a $28 million construction loan, secured by real property located at 710 Third Avenue, New York, New York. Upon completion, the project will be a Sir branded 96 room 25 story hotel.
- Represented an institutional lender in connection with the origination of a $21.5 million mortgage loan secured by a mixed-use complex in Seaside, Florida.
- Represented a leading global bank in the origination of a $29 million mortgage loan secured by an office building in lower Manhattan.
- Represented an institutional lender in connection with the origination of a $65 million mortgage loan secured by a large, multi-building commercial condominium in the Bronx, New York.
- Represented an institutional lender in connection with the origination of a $45 million mortgage loan secured by an anchored retail shopping center located in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
- Represented an institutional lender in connection with the origination of a $59.6 million mortgage loan secured by two office buildings located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
