Anne Hannah, M.D.’s practice focuses on all aspects of patent prosecution both in the United States and abroad. Anne has experience helping clients identify key technology areas in which to implement both utility and design patent filing strategies.
As part of this, Anne helps clients identify potential prior art that may impact the scope of protection offered by a patent and also performs freedom-to-operate analyses to ensure that her clients can successfully commercialize and practice their innovations.
She additionally helps her clients leverage their patent portfolios for both offensive and defensive needs. Anne has experience in counseling clients on compliance with employee invention laws in other countries including, among others, Korea, China, Vietnam and Taiwan.
Her practice area is diverse and includes consumer goods with a concentration on apparel and engineered textiles, athletic equipment, medical devices and health care software solutions.
Before law school, Anne earned her medical degree before becoming busy raising four children. The organizational skills developed during that time have translated to the ability to manage large patent portfolios in an efficient and effective manner.
As well, her educational background, which includes medicine, law and chemistry, demonstrates an intellectual curiosity that is essential in the ever-changing landscape of intellectual property law.
