Anne R. Flaniganis an Associate in the Litigation Division, focusing on municipal and commercial litigation. She represents local governments including First Amendment claims, land use issues, and other federal discrimination matters.
Her civil litigation practice also includes contract disputes, complex civil litigation, and real property claims. Anne also has an active trademark law practice, including the registration and enforcement of trademarks for both municipal and private clients.
Prior to joining the Firm, Anne served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable William J. Zloch of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In law school, Anne was very involved with the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center and competed in mock trials throughout the United States.
As a first-year law student, she was a National Finalist in the Buffalo-Niagara National Trial Advocacy Competition, in which she defeated over twenty mock trial teams from around the country. Anne also received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, Magna Cum Laude, for her clinical work in the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Law Clinic, her role as a high school debate coach with Legal Outreach, and for her work with the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
She also served as an Associate Editor with the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Anne was a cast member of Riverdance – The Show and is also a champion Irish dancer.
