
Anthony James Pagano concentrates in construction law and litigation including defect and products liability litigation, claims, commercial litigation and civil trial practice. An aggressive and seasoned litigator, Anthony has successfully represented his clients in motions hearings, trials, depositions, mediations, arbitrations and negotiations across the country.
He also has extensive experience in counseling on, drafting, and negotiating contracts for complex multi-million-dollar construction projects, having personally handled nearly $2 billion in domestic and international construction transactions.
Anthony has many years of litigation experience from case onset through discovery and trial. His investigatory skills are finely honed, and he possesses a keen ability to recognize and account for critical issues before they develop, which often results in a strategic advantage for litigation clients and assists contract clients in avoiding or anticipating future pitfalls.
He brings with him a practical understanding of technical construction matters and industry practices, and an attention to detail which is an asset to his clients in this often highly technical area of the law.
Experience : Anthony has personally drafted, counseled on, and negotiated nearly $2 billion in construction contracts, including ground-up construction (commercial, residential, government, and infrastructure) and office buildouts and moves both within the United States and internationally.
Within the past year alone, he has handled transactions for construction, design, design-build, project management, FF&E, and related matters for both new construction and buildout/transition projects in the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Dubai, Switzerland, and China.
Among these were complicated office buildout/transition projects for two prominent international satellite and software platform companies in the DC Metropolitan Area.
Anthony is widely experienced in all types of construction litigation and transactions. His clients include national hotel developers, national homebuilders, international organizations, a local government, numerous corporate and institutional building owners, and contractors in both the public and private sector, and individuals.
He has been responsible for drafting, negotiating, and counseling nearly $2 billion in domestic and international construction agreements for hotel developers, defense contractors, building owners, contractors, and others. He regularly counsels his clients on construction issues, including contract liability, insurance, damages, warranties, and potential claims.
