
Anthony M. Kroese is an associate in the firm’s Buffalo office, focusing his practice on commercial litigation, business services, and sport and entertainment law matters. Anthony serves a wide variety of clients in commercial transactions, personal and commercial real estate, and the creative and cost-effective resolution of development and construction contract disputes. He also handles franchising, licensing, and other contracts for clients in the sports and entertainment and hospitality industries.
Anthony graduated from Notre Dame Law School, where he was a chosen admissions fellow. He also served as Social Chair of the Student Bar Association, Editor of the Journal of College and University Law, and the school’s Student Representative to the American Bar Association (ABA).
While at Notre Dame, Anthony worked with the school’s NCAA Compliance Office in Athletics, and externed for the Public Defender Program in South Bend, Indiana. Upon graduation, Notre Dame recognized him with the William O. McLean Law School Community Citizenship Award for his service and leadership.
As an undergraduate at Canisius College, Anthony was deeply involved in student life, service, and college governance, and his work had a lasting impact on student government. He distinguished himself as Student Master of the DiGamma honor society, and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society.
The Alumni Association recognized him with their Distinguished Senior Award in 2014; he also received the Political Science Department’s Woodrow Wilson Award for Public Service. Anthony served as the Executive Vice President of the Undergraduate Student Association for three consecutive terms. Alongside his executive responsibilities, he served on the Committees for Student Engagement and Retention and Orientation Staff Selection, as well as the school’s top-level Long Range Strategic Planning Committee.
Anthony also founded and chaired the Council of Presidents, the first representative body bringing together the leaders of all student clubs, and was co-chair of the Bid Committee that brought the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference to the school.
He graduated summa cum laude from the All-College Honors Program with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Government, completing an Honors thesis examining “Servant Leadership” as practiced and promoted on Jesuit campuses.
Before graduating from Notre Dame, Anthony was a summer associate at Goldberg Segalla, assisting in the Business and Commercial and Global Insurance Services Practice Groups. Before returning to the firm, he served on the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Law Student Division Nominating Committee.
