Antonio Maldonado

Antonio is an attorney licensed to practice law in both the United States, in the states of California and New York, and in the country of Mexico. He has an active litigation practice in both U.S. courts, in California, and in Mexico courts.

He is bilingual in English and Spanish with complete fluency in the legal systems of both the United States and Mexico. He earned a Licenciatura en Derecho (LL.B.) degree from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Monterrey, Mexico and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.

He has many times served as an expert witness on Mexican Law in US litigation matters, in both state and federal court, having been a court-appointed expert on Mexico Law by the Supreme Court of California in Los Angeles County.

He is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law. He recently served as Vice-chair of it’s Mexico Committee and is presently the Co-chair of it’s San Diego-Tijuana City Chapter.

He is also an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association, having recently served as Chair of the International Law Section during 2017. He is also a Barrister member of the Hon. William B. Enright Inn of Court.
