
Ariel Fenster is an associate in the Labor and Employment Department of Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Atlanta office and a member of the Wage & Hour Litigation Practice. Ms. Fenster’s practice includes representing employers in class and collective action lawsuits and counseling them on compliance issues.
Ms. Fenster has experience litigating wage and hour lawsuits, from single-plaintiff cases to complex, large scale-collective actions. She counsels employers on legal compliance issues including employee classification issues, workplace policies, and pay practices. In addition to wage and hour work, Ms. Fenster has defended employers against discrimination claims, including claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Ms. Fenster is active in the Atlanta community both with non-profits and within the legal community. Ms. Fenster is a Board Member of the Atlanta Council of Young Lawyers and the Atlanta Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Section. Ms. Fenster also keeps an active pro-bono practice frequently taking on landlord-tenant disputes with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and assisting with employment matters with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Fenster practiced with another national L&E firm and also worked with a boutique L&E firm in Atlanta. Ms. Fenster attended Emory University School of Law. There, she served as managing editor of an Emory Law Review and competed in the National Wagner L&E Moot Court Competition. For her success, Ms. Fenster was inducted into the Order of Barristers. During her time at Emory, Ms. Fenster clerked for several Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in-house.
