Successfully handled insurance claim for an individual whose Tibetan coin dies and gold bullion coins were stolen. We revealed that the law in Washington, D.C. (i) recognizes insurance company mistake as a ground for recognizing coverage, and (ii) frowns upon insurance company reliance upon exclusions that are not revealed until after an event underlying coverage has taken place.
