Austin Ownbey focuses his practice on representing and counseling clients on a range of antitrust issues, including the review of mergers and other enforcement matters before competition agencies in the U.S., EU, and around the world. He has represented clients in many industries, including oilfield services, energy, airlines, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
Before joining Alston & Bird, Austin was an associate at another Am Law 50 law firm and a staff attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, where he focused on merger and conduct investigations, as well as consumer protection litigation. Following graduation from law school, he served as a Dean’s Fellow in the California Attorney General’s Antitrust Law Section.
