
As a transactional attorney, Avery is experienced in various practice areas including real estate (sales and acquisitions, development, leasing and financing), business organizations and entity formation, public trustee foreclosures, and HOAs.
Avery represents clients in all aspects of real estate transactions involving both residential and commercial real estate, from contract negotiation and execution, handling of complex due diligence investigations and review through closing as well as coordination of the land use approval process for development of real property.
Avery is also experienced with the public trustee system of foreclosures unique to Colorado and provides creditor clients with knowledgeable advice and guidance before, during and after the foreclosure process.
Avery has worked with many homeowners’ associations to update and amend governing documents and advise associations on compliance with Colorado’s detailed and complex statutory regulations governing those communities.
Prior to focusing her practice in transactional law, Avery also worked with the firm’s litigation department. Avery’s litigation experience gives her a unique perspective on transactions with an ability to problem solve with an eye toward avoiding potential disputes related to, among other things, contract negotiation and drafting and formation of business relationships.
