Barath R. Chari is an associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the technology transactions practice. His practice focuses on intellectual property, licensing, and the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
He also has expertise in assisting companies with intellectual property issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions.
Barath represents both public and private clients in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on start-ups and emerging technologies in the media, social networking, information technology, and advertising sectors.
Before joining the firm, Barath was an associate at Dow Lohnes, where he advised media, communications, sports, education, and technology clients on a wide variety of transactional and regulatory issues. Prior to law school, Barath worked in the technology consulting industry in San Francisco.
