
Ms. Barbara Staman Wolff is an associate general counsel in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. She provides legal advice and risk management support to the firm’s management and attorneys on a variety of legal and ethical issues. Earlier in her career, Ms. Wolff was a partner in a San Francisco law firm where she specialized in complex business and real estate litigation.
Ms. Wolff represented companies and individuals in a wide range of matters, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, class action defense and complex construction claims in state and federal court, including bankruptcy court. Ms. Wolff served on the firm’s Management Committee and was chair of its Ethics and Conflict Resolution Committee.
Immediately prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Ms. Wolff was professional responsibility counsel in the Chicago office of a national law firm where she counseled attorneys on rules of professional conduct, professional liability issues and firm policies and resolved ethical and business issues arising from new business and lateral hire intake. Ms. Wolff was a member of the firm’s Professional Practice Committee.
