Ben Tobias is a member of the Public & Infrastructure Finance Practice Group. He assists counties, cities, school districts, special taxing districts and other government related entities in the tax-exempt financing process to ensure efficiency and compliance for a wide variety of projects.
Ben also advises local government entities on the creation of new community authorities, enterprise zones, tax increment financing (TIFs) and community reinvestment areas to encourage the investment of private capital in Ohio communities and catalyze growth.
While in law school, Ben externed at the Ohio Supreme Court for former Justice Paul E. Pfeifer, and at the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless on both affordable housing policy research and litigation. He also worked at Georgetown Law’s Institute for Public Representation, Civil Rights section and the US Department of Justice, Civil Division, Fraud Section.
