Benjamin T. Gibbs works with stakeholders on federal and state benefit plan regulation and assists employers as they design, implement and maintain competitive benefit and executive compensation programs.
Before going to law school, Benjamin worked in the mutual fund industry, assisting shareholders and financial advisors with retirement and non-qualified investment accounts. After matriculating to U.C. Hastings College of the Law, he wrote an academic note on the fiduciary obligations of 401(k) service providers under ERISA.
He served as the Senior Articles Editor for Hastings Law Journal, U.C. Hastings flagship academic journal, and assisted low-income elderly clients at the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors as they implemented estate plans, prepared for end-of-life care, and petitioned for public benefits.
