Brandon M. Gillard

Brandon Gillard’s litigation practice focuses on high-profile complex litigation before state and federal courts, as well as high-profile government investigations, white collar defense and regulatory matters, including compliance with automotive laws and federal regulations.

Brandon brings broad experience to Squire Patton Boggs. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida. As a federal law clerk, Brandon drafted numerous orders and opinions that resolved complex procedural and substantive legal issues that involved class actions, intellectual property, products liability, labor and employment, and civil rights.

Prior to clerking, Brandon worked for a boutique law firm that handled complex securities litigation and accounting malpractice. During law school, Brandon interned for the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he immersed himself in federal criminal law, and clerked for an energy regulatory agency.

In addition to his legal experience, Brandon has significant policy and political experience. He served as a Domestic Policy Fellow at the Clinton Foundation, where he worked on childhood obesity, small business development and the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative. Brandon also spent two election cycles conducting opposition research for national, state and local political parties, as well as several political advocacy groups.
