C. Brandon Rash has significant experience in patent litigation involving electrical, computer, and communications-related technologies. He has led teams in patent litigation in federal courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and in post-grant proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Brandon has more than a decade of experience in all aspects of patent litigation, from pre-litigation through trial and appeal. He has served as lead counsel in both district court and ITC actions. He has substantial experience in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA), known as the “Rocket Docket,” where he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Henry E. Hudson.
Brandon also has vast experience in post-grant proceedings before the PTAB. He has served as lead or backup counsel in more than 25 inter partes review (IPR) proceedings and participated in many more.
Brandon specializes in complex electrical and computer-related technologies, including electronics, computer hardware and software,Internet and network communications, semiconductors,wireless, and audio technologies.
Before his legal career, Brandon was a technical marketing engineer at National Semiconductor Corporation, where he was responsible for power management and wireless semiconductor products. Brandon devotes time to pro bono matters, representing military veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
