
Brandon Short is a tax associate based in the Boston office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Brandon’s practice focuses on the tax aspects of structuring, forming and investing in private investment funds, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, buyout funds and other investment partnerships.
Brandon also advises clients on the tax and structuring considerations associated with secondary purchases and sales. He advises on a variety of other federal income tax matters, including related to mergers and acquisitions.
Brandon maintains a robust pro bono practice, and has advised individuals who fear return to their home countries at various stages of the asylum process.
