Attorney Langdon is now officially recognized by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification as a specialist in family law. Attorneys who are board certified by NBLSC demonstrate that they have achieved both proficiency and education requirements to maintain a comprehensive understanding of family law in their state.
NBLSC is an American Bar Association-accredited organization that identifies attorneys who meet stringent requirements for certification.
It fosters a legal community that is encouraged to specialize and is dedicated to “achieving and maintaining a high standard of practice and to leveling the playing field for clients.” To become board certified, an attorney’s experience, judicial and peer references, and disciplinary notices are evaluated.
There is also an exam to ensure that the lawyer’s legal knowledge is up to the highest standards. If certification is achieved, it is reviewed and—if an attorney is again approved—renewed every five years.
Attorneys who are board certified in family law must be able to demonstrate that they can provide certain services for clients. These include negotiation and mediation practices, pre or post nuptial agreement drafting, settlement agreements and parenting plan creation, domestic violence protections, and other necessary and critical services.
Attorney Langdon’s board certification is just the latest notice he has accumulated in his career. He is the only attorney in the State of Arkansas accepted as a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
He was invited and nominated by his peers in East Texas to membership of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and elected as a member. He is an invited member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
He holds numerous bar association memberships, as well, including in Texarkana, Northeast Texas, Southwest Arkansas, and Arkansas. He has also been recognized by Super Lawyers® for seven consecutive years.
