Bret Alan Bosker takes tremendous pride in handling cases in a way that makes the complicated issues that arise in family law matters easier to understand for his clients. He understands that his primary role is to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
Bret’s focus on problem solving began because early on, he realized that he was analytical, but also social, and wanted a career where he could successfully combine the two. He decided that a career in law was perfect for his particular skill set.
Bret grew up in Michigan, but graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 and went on to receive his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1999. At South Texas, in 1996, he received the Academic Achievement Award.
Bret began practicing family law in 1999. Bret had worked for the Harris County District Attorney’s office and was later a shareholder and partner at another respected family law firm, Peltier, Bosker & Griffin, P.C., for over a decade. While there, he fine-tuned his problem-solving skills handling hundreds of divorce and family cases that included all aspects of Texas family law.
Over the years, Bret has served on various boards and committees in the Houston area legal community. He was the Chair of the Houston Bar Association Family Law section for 2 consecutive terms. In 2004, Bret was awarded the Houston Bar Association’s President Award for his work as chair of the Law Week Committee.
He has also been a speaker at dozens of Continuing Legal Education Seminars, including the chair of the South Texas College of Law Family Law Conference from 2007-2014 and the chair of Houston Bar Association Family Law Institute CLE in 2008.
When he is not assisting his clients, Bret likes to spend time with his family: they are huge film buffs and can regularly be found at their tennis club.
