Brett Adair is a seasoned attorney at law. He is a shareholder in Carr Allison’s Birmingham, Alabama office. He also serves as a Chair of the Carr Allison’s Employment Litigation Practice Group. He provides representation to employers throughout the country on issues involving: sexual harassment and discrimination claims, whistle-blower suits, employee benefit matters, employment tort and contractual matters, wage and hourly claims, OSHA investigations and contests, workers’ compensation retaliation claims, non-compete agreement issues, misappropriation of trade secrets claims and unfair competition claims.
Brett advises clients on various matters of federal employment, and on matters arising under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other recruitment issues that might suffice from business mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Adair provides counsel to clients on matters of executive employment contracts, preparing and reviewing employee handbooks, drafting and enforce ability of non-compete and confidentiality agreements, corporate employee discipline, drug and alcohol testing and wage and hour claims.
Brett handles training programs for managers and supervisors to create solid management fundamentals in them. Since the focus is on clients’ dynamic business climate he also helps to enhance employee morale and productivity, achieve management ogoals and enforce legal compliance. He has worked for clients as a neutral third-party investigator in situations harassment and discrimination claims.
