Brian E. Newhouse is a finance and transactions attorney who works primarily with financial institutions. Brian represents clients in the context of leveraged finance transactions; extensions of credit to gaming companies; asset-based financings; construction financings; contested and negotiated change-of-control transactions; healthcare financings; mezzanine financings; compliance with state laws regulating lenders and lessors and negotiation and documentation of private and public consensual debt restructurings, reorganizations and workouts.
Brian joined the Chicago office of Mayer Brown in 1982, moved to the firm’s Los Angeles location three years later and now currently splits his time between the New York office and the Los Angeles office.
