Brian R. Cahn devotes a significant portion of his legal practice to helping the people of northwest Georgia obtain relief from debt. He handles consumer bankruptcies under Chapters 7 and 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, as well as business bankruptcies under Chapter 11. He also assists clients in debt settlement, rebuilding credit and foreclosure defense. Creditor harassment is often an immediate concern for those with financial difficulties, and he knows how to stop the calls and collection notices that torment his clients.
The bankruptcy law group at Perrotta & Cahn was established in 1991. Today, the firm has offices in Dallas, Cartersville, Calhoun and Dalton, enabling Mr. Cahn and his partners to serve anyone looking for a bankruptcy lawyer in northwest Georgia. Mr. Cahn’s continuous presence in the local legal community has earned him a good working relationship with judges and other attorneys in the area. He understands their values and preferences, which is a benefit to his clients.
Mr. Cahn completed his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia, and went on to earn his law degree from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law in 1994. He stays abreast of developments in bankruptcy law as an active member of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). In 2007, he served as a panelist at the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal Symposium.
