Brian Nash has served as general outside counsel to leaders of growth-oriented technology companies for almost three decades, helping his clients generate hundreds of millions of dollars in shareholder value.
His hands-on experience as a software developer and systems analyst provides useful insight in negotiating technology-related transactions, including liquidity events, private placements, and venture capital and private equity transactions, as well as software-as-a-service (SaaS) agreements, technology transfer agreements, licensing and distribution agreements, e-commerce agreements and complex technology purchasing agreements.
He has advised clients in structuring numerous venture capital, venture debt, and strategic investment transactions for a variety of ventures, including recent deals for a consumer-facing solar energy company and two medical device companies. Mr. Nash also provides sell-side and buy-side advice on private equity transactions and other liquidity events.
Before joining Taylor English in 2013, Mr. Nash was a member and the head of the Atlanta business and finance practice group at Stites & Harbison PLLC. He also has been an attorney at Smith Gambrell & Russell LLP, where he was part of the technology practice group, and he was a member of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, where he was in the corporate and intellectual property practice groups.
Mr. Nash also is active in non-profit work. He serves as legal counsel and a member of the Vestry of Christ Church of Atlanta, a member church of the Anglican Church in North America.
He also serves as counsel and is a member of the Board of Directors of Himalayan Children’s Charities, an Atlanta-based non-profit dedicated to raising funds to provide better care, living facilities and education for Nepalese orphaned and abandoned children.
